All Change All Change!

A spanner has been thrown into the works.We were plodding along with life quite nicely, earning well and meandering along the canals on our beautiful boat - and then I got pregnant.

The small pirate is due in June and though we aim to manage onboard Liem for a little while, we would need a considerable refit to make things comfortable for 2 and a half people so we will be putting her on the market for some other lucky owner to have soon!

It has been a very difficult decision but we are looking at 'selling out' and moving back on to land - probably in Bristol. I have found it personally very difficult not having an address through the pregnancy, registering at a doctors and signing on for my maternity pay have been challenging and I imagine those barriers will only get more impenetrable with a child.

So we go on to make our first sacrifice for this new addition to our family and will shortly be putting Liem on the market almost exactly a year after we brought her.

Will we ever own a home as beautiful as this again?!

The freedom this boat has given us both financially and the ability to travel where we like has been such a wonderful gift. I will always treasure our first home very much and hope someone else will come to love her as much as we have.
